Commercial software providers such as Rational Software (now IBM), Interleaf (now BroadVision), CoreStreet, ChannelWave, and TimeTrade have retained Kanda to develop vital components of their market-leading software products, to manage legacy products, and to develop components that are not part of the core technology of their product line.

• For Interleaf (now a part of BroadVision), Kanda developed BladeRunner/Web, a complete Web Publishing module of a content management system that supports delivery to browsers, phones, palmtops and other wireless devices via XML/XSLT transformation. Kanda designed and implemented data conversion, scheduled data replication, XML retrieval and re-assembly, and ISP callable components to allow content managed by Blade Runner to be effectively searched and retrieved over the Web.

• For Rational Software (now IBM), Kanda used native SAP, Peoplesoft, and Oracle Forms’ APIs to create plug-in layers to allow SQA’s quality automation tools to run scripts testing native ERP’s functionality and evaluating load/response curves. Solutions were certified by SAP and Peoplesoft respectively.

• Kanda developed self-service models for TimeCommerce, the leading Web appointment and resource management scheduling product from TimeTrade.

• Fantasy Entertainment owns and operates over 5,000 FotoFantasy booths in malls and tourist destinations, including one at the top of Empire State Building. Kanda helped expand booth traffic with an extra feature ("eMail your picture"), added eCommerce, and automated booth management, supporting software updates, "out of film" messages and so on.
